Shawn represents emerging companies throughout their lifecycle. His practice focuses on corporate counseling, venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions.

Shawn began his career with experience from each of the three branches of the United States government - a White House intern, a law clerk with the U.S. Senate, a judicial extern with the U.S. District Court in Silicon Valley, and as an honors law clerk with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shawn has practiced at the largest law firms in the world, including at WilmerHale and Gunderson Dettmer.

Shawn has a strong focus on giving back to the community. He is an adjunct professor in his community at East Los Angeles College where he teaches business law and serves on the budget committee. He is also a board member of the Palo Alto Players, where he seeks to help low-income communities gain access to the arts.
